Brief Description of the Project:

  • Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation limited (BMRCL), a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) established under the Companies Act, 1956 (hereinafter referred to as “BMRCL” or “the Company” or “the Employer” or “the Client”) invites Tenders from the registered Electrical Contractors (“Class – I Electrical License” issued by the Electrical Inspectorate, Govt. of Karnataka) under single stage two packet system for “Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Commercial Power Point Metering Panels and arranging Power Supply from Metering Panels up to promotional KIOSKS in all Stations of Bangalore Metro Rail Project Phase-1 & Phase-2” as per terms and conditions contained in this Tender documents.
  • Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) is implementing the Bangalore Metro Rail Project in different phases. The Phase – I of the project comprises two Corridors Viz. East-West Corridor (Purple line) and North– South Corridor (Green line) consisting of Elevated, at Grade and Underground sections as below:

  • BMRCL is proceeding with the implementation of Phase-2 of the project. The sanctioned Detailed Project Report (DPR) of Phase-2 envisages extension of existing two corridors viz. East-West (Purple line) and North-South (Green Line) Corridors comprising elevated sections and construction of two new lines Reach-5 and Reach-6.

  • @ – includes two-level common interchange station at K.R. Puram with ORR Metro line.
  • $ – includes a two-level common interchange (between Reach-5 & Reach-6) station at Jayadeva Hospital. Also, Stations at Rashtreeya Vidyalaya (R.V) Road & Central Silk Board shall have interchange with other lines of BMRCL.
  • # – includes two-level common interchange stations at M.G. Road and Nagavara with other lines of BMRCL.
  • South Extension is commissioned in January 2021, West Extension in August 2021, East extension in March-2023 and other Reach is under advanced stage of completion.

  • Interchange Stations of different lines:
    • The common interchange station between Reach-6 line and Phase-2B line is at Nagavara station.
    • The common interchange station between Phase-2A and Reach-5 is at Central Silk Board station.
    • The common interchange station between Phase-2A and Line-1 is at KR Puram Station. 
  • Maintenance Depots are located at Baiyappanahalli for Phase-2A & 2B and Airport (Trumpet) Depot for Phase-2B. An Integrated Operation Control Centre (OCC) is being constructed at Baiyappanahalli for Reach-5, Reach-6, Phase-2A (ORR) & Phase-2B (Airport line) and a Back-up Control Centre (BCC) is located at Peenya.

Brief scope of work:

  • The work shall include, but not limited to Supply Installation, Testing and commissioning of LT Panels, cables & other electrical equipment etc.
    • Erection of LT Metering panels as per specifications at various locations.
    • Installation testing & commissioning of LT commercial metering panels during non-revenue period of Metro Rail operations (Only after 23.00 Hrs up to 4.00 Hrs at Night).
    • Taking approval from BESCOM for arranging Sub Meter at each station of BMRCL.
    • The New system (work) is to be tested, commissioned and handed over to BMRCL under acknowledgement.
  • The details of equipment to be supplied, transported, erected, assembled, tested & commissions are indicated in BOQ / Pricing Document schedule of Works. The quantities indicated in the BOQ / Pricing Document Schedule of works are only approximate and may increase or decrease and prices quoted by the Tenderer are deemed to be valid in spite of such variations subject to SCC Clause 10.
  • Any other items not specifically mentioned but which are essentially required for satisfactory performance & completeness of work, shall be deemed to be included in the scope of specifications and works and the same shall be executed / carried out by the Tenderer at no extra cost to BMRCL.

Eligibility:

Technical Eligibility Criteria:

  • The Tenderer should have an experience of carrying out similar electrical works such as: Working in construction of distribution networks of LT/HT (11kV) underground and overhead lines, Layout electrification and Commissioning and should have completed similar works during the last five years ending 28 days prior to date of opening of Tender and fulfil the following to establish the same:
    • The Tenderer should have completely executed at least One similar work valued not less than Rs. 2,84,43,277/- (Rupees Two Crore Eighty-Four Lakhs Forty Three Thousand Two Hundred and Seventy Seven Only), or
    • The Tenderer should have completely executed at least Two similar works each of value not less than Rs. 2,27,54,622/- (Rupees Two Crore Twenty-Seven Lakhs Fifty-Four Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty Two Only), or
    • The Tenderer should have completely executed at least Three similar works each of value not less than Rs. 1,70,65,966/- (Rupees One Crore Seventy Lakhs Sixty-Five Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty Six Only).
  • The Tenderer shall furnish client’s certificates in support of the same. The work completion Certificate issued by client shall mention the nature of work, items and quantity of work executed and the date of completion of work as mentioned above.
