BEML Limited showcased its rail and metro’s design and manufacturing prowess in the 15th International Railway Equipment Exhibition (IREE), held in Delhi, by putting up the most advanced prototype of Vande Bharat sleeper coach designs. Shri Shantanu Roy, CMD of BEML, gracefully inaugurated the sizable stall in the presence of the team and visiting guests from Indian Railways, Integral Coach Factory and other railway players.

BEML Signed two MoU:
- In a major move, Bangalore based Defence PSU, BEML Ltd. and UTIPL (Umeandus Technologies India Private Limited) have signed an MoU to explore possibilities in developing and building autonomous rolling stock as per the requirement of e-Freight Transportation System (e-FTS), to make it capable of carrying containers and bulk goods as a viable product and solutions for commercial launch.
- Top leaders of both companies signed an agreement on October 12, 2023 at IREE. The basic idea is to identify domestic and export opportunities, whereas BEML would supply rolling stock and UTIPL agrees to focus on providing technical and other support requirements of the identified project in the e-FTS platform.

- Signing another MoU, BEML Ltd. have entered into an NDA with Konkan Railways to synergize each others’ strengths to address business opportunities in Indian and overseas markets. Once a business opportunity of mutual interest is identified and agreed to be pursued, a specific Agreement, incorporating the terms of association, roles and responsibilities shall be discussed and entered into making it bigger.
- Konkan Railways would primarily provide expertise in marketing, operation & maintenance and other support to tap Indian and overseas opportunities. However, BEML’s primary role is to specialize in designing, manufacturing and supplying of rolling stock to fulfil end customer’s needs.
- The partnership is all set to take new heights with embracing each others’ strength appropriately.
