Scope of Work:
- The scope of work for the bidder includes detailed survey of sites dedicated for Electronics Lab in this tender, Supply, Installation and Demonstration of all facilities and other items/equipment of this tender at site as per the direction of CMRL.
It shall include but not limited to the following:
- The supply and installation of ESD facilities, work benches and other Items/equipment of this tender.
- Detailed demonstration of all facilities, workbenches & items/ equipment included in this tender.
- To provide, one copy each of the installations & maintenance manual of listed facilities, work benches & other listed items/equipment of this tender.
- Power connections from the nearest power point to the work benches shall be within the scope of the contractor. Similarly earth connections of sufficient size to the work benches and tables shall also be in the scope of the contractor.
- The tenderer shall go through the technical specification of the minimum and essential infrastructure and equipment required for the Electronics Lab.
Installation wherever mentioned in the tender is for the following:
- The positioning of the Aluminum profile table as per the technical specification provided in the tender document shall be in line with the Electronics Lab Architecture given in this tender document.
- ESD proofing and Grounding for complete lab including workbenches.
- ESD proofing for the floor shall be in line with floor conditions.
- Assembling required, if any, for the equipment / hardware as per the technical specification provided in the tender document shall be done.
- The Bidder/Tenderer is required to supply and install these items in the space allocated for Electronics lab in the CMRL Koyambedu Depot- Chennai, as per detailed specifications given in Section III.
- The Bidder/Tenderer shall agree to all the Special Conditions of Contract and conditions of the offer, as mentioned in the technical proposal and no additional terms & conditions from Bidder will be accepted at a later stage.
- The Bidder is required to quote for Supply, Installation and Demonstration of all facilities, work benches and other items/equipment in line with Section-III Scope of Works & technical specifications along with compliance of the terms and conditions of this tender at site as per the direction of CMRL Depot Koyambedu.
- If CMRL desires, the Bidder/Tenderer may be required to give their technical presentation of the proposed Equipment as part of the technical qualification criteria. Bidders/Tenderers should ensure full compliance with all the requirements/specifications mentioned in these documents.
- The Bidder/Tenderer shall submit these documents as a part of technical evaluations:
- Drawings of all work benches
- Detailed technical brochures of all the facilities and items/equipment describing various technical aspects.
Warranty:
- The facilities, work benches & other items/equipment supplied shall be under warranty for ONE year, from the date of satisfactory installation & acceptance.
- All replacement and repairs under the warranty shall be carried out by the Bidder/Tenderer promptly and to the complete satisfaction of CMRL on notification of the defect by the CMRL or his/her authorized representatives.
- This warranty shall commence from the date of issue of acceptance certificate of the work completion/installation.
- Calibration certificates if any.
- Warranty certificate as mentioned in SSC clause no.6 after successful completion of work.
- Satisfactory Demonstration of the whole System and Training (if any required) should be free of cost.
- Time and schedule for supply and installation will be 6 weeks from the date of issue of LoA.
- Partial delivery against LoA/PO is accepted. However, the payment shall be made on acceptance of full quantity delivered. 100% Payment after all statutory deductions and retention if any against the completion of work will be made on submission of all documents as mentioned in GCC clause 27.
Eligibility:
- Bidders shall have successfully supplied similar items covered in this tender document in Government/Government undertaking/ semi-Government/Govt. Controlled Institutions/ Reputed private organizations., during last Five 5 years ending 30/11/2021 with minimum number of works as detailed below:
- Three similar completed works costing not less than ₹3.25 Lakh, or
- Two Similar Completed works costing not less than ₹4 Lakh, or
- One Similar completed work costing not less than ₹6.5 Lakh.
- Work Completion Certificates from the clients and Work Order copies.
- The bidder shall submit a copy of work completion certificates issued by the clients along with contract/work order copies.
- Similar work means the work similar to / in combination / in line with the one mentioned in section-III Scope of Work of this tender document.
About CMRL:
- The Chennai Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), a joint venture between Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu, operates the Chennai Metro. It is the third longest metro system in India after Delhi Metro and Hyderabad metro.
- The Phase-I of Chennai Metro Rail project covers a length of 45.046 km network and consists of two corridors i.e. Corridor-I (Blue Line) – From Washermenpet to Airport (23.085 Km), Corridor -2(Green Line) – From Chennai Central to St. Thomas Mount (21.961 km).
- About 55% of the corridors in Phase-I are underground and the remaining elevated. Out of 32 nos of stations 13 nos are elevated stations and the remaining 19 nos are underground stations.
- Inter corridor interchange stations are available at Alandur (Elevated) station and Chennai Central (Underground) station respectively. The system commenced service in 2015 after partially opening the first phase of the project.
