Namakkal a historic town with references back to at least the 7th century, a Selection grade municipality and the headquarters of Namakkal district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Namakkal is the first ISO 14001-2004 certified municipality in Asia for environmental management.
The economy of the district was primarily agricultural, but as on today it has changed its occupation to Lorries, Educational Institutions, Poultry Farms, Bore well, Truck & Bus Body Building and real estate. Lorry Transport and related businesses drive the economy of the town. Namakkal district has around 80000 Trucks which include open truck, Containers, Bulkers, Ready-mix, Trailers and LPG Tankers; this has made “Namakkal India’s No 1 Transport Hub”. Nationwide Namakkal is known for body building for truck, trailer, and tanker since 1956. Customers from other states also get the truck body building work done in Namakkal and it is also being exported to other countries. More than 500 units are in building truck and bus bodies employing around 25000 people directly and more than 1 Lakh indirectly by selling accessories and through 20 types of jobs in transportation including painting and tinkering works.
With this background, Namakkal Taluk Lorry Owners Association (NTLOA), India’s Pioneer and Premiere lorry owners’ association started way back in 1970 is hosting “COMVEXPO 2022” an exclusive Trade show on Commercial Vehicles and allied products from 10th – 12th of February 2022 at the NTLOA Ground, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu in Association with “Exhibition Experts (ExhiEx)”. NTLOA’s agenda is to bring Innovation and New ideas to the region, connect with new suppliers in addition to meeting the existing OEM’s and suppliers. NTLOA strongly encourages component & spare parts manufacturers outside Tamil Nadu to set up dealerships and exclusive direct factory retail outlets in Namakkal.
