DFCCIL invites tender for associated works with track maintenance between Madar-Marwar section of Ajmer of WDFC

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL) has invited open e-tenders, in Single Stage Two Packet System for Associated works with Track maintenance between Madar-Marwar section under jurisdiction of GM/Co-ord, Ajmer of WDFC.

Scope of Supply:

  • The whole of the works and/or supply of materials specified and provided in the contract or that may be necessary to be done in order to form and complete any part thereof shall be executed in the best and most substantial workmanlike manner with materials of the best and most approved quality of their respective kinds, agreeable to the particulars contained in or implied by the specifications and as referred to in and represented by the drawings or in such other additional particulars, instructions and drawings given during the carrying on of the works and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer according to the instructions and directions which the Contractors may from time to time receive from the Engineer.
  • The materials may be subjected to tests by means of such machines, instruments and appliances as the Engineer may direct and wholly at the expense of the Contractor.

Maintenance Period/Defect Liability Period:

  • The Contractor shall guarantee that all the works executed under this contract shall be free from all defects and faults in material, workmanship and manufacture and shall be of acceptable standards for the contracted work and in full conformity with the technical specifications, drawings and other contract stipulations, for a period of 12 months from the date of taking over by the Employer.
  • During the period of guarantee the Contractor shall keep available an experienced engineer / man power to attend to any defective works / installations resulting from defective erection and/or defect in the installation supplied by the Contractor. This engineer shall not attend to rectification of defects which arise out of normal wear and tear and come within the purview of routine maintenance work. The contractor shall bear the cost of modifications, additions or substitutions that may be considered necessary due to faulty materials or workmanship for the satisfactory working of the equipment. The final decision shall rest with the Engineer his successor(s)/Nominee.
  • During the period of Guarantee the Contractor shall be liable for the replacement at site of any parts which may be found defective in the executed work whether such parts / structural elements of his own manufacture or those of his sub-contractor / supplier whether arising from faulty materials, workmanship or negligence in any manner on the part of the Contractor provided always that such defective parts as are not repairable at site are promptly returned to the Contractor if so required by him at his (Contractor’s) own expenses.
  • In case of parts of executed work detected during the guarantee period, the contractor should replace all such items irrespective of the fact whether all such items have failed or not. The Contractor shall bear the cost of repairs carried out on his behalf by the Employer at site. In such a case, the contractor shall be informed in advance of the works proposed to be carried out by the Employer.
  • If it becomes necessary for the Contractor to replace or renew any defective portion of the structural elements until the expiration of six months from the date of such replacement or renewal or until the end of the above mentioned period whichever is later. Such extension shall not apply in case of defects of a minor nature, the decision of the Chief General Manager or his successor/nominee being final in the matter.
  • If any defect is not remedied within a reasonable time during the aforesaid period the Employer may proceed to do work at the Contractor’s risk and expense, but without prejudice to any other rights and remedies which the Employer may have against the Contractor in respect of such defects or faults.
  • The repaired or renewal parts structure shall be delivered / supplied and erected / executed on site free of charge to the Employer.
  • Any materials, fittings, components or equipment / structure supplied under items for supplying / providing and fixing in schedule shall also be covered by the provisions of this paragraph. The liability of the Contractor under the guarantee will be limited to re-supply of components / structure installation and fittings.

Eligibility:

The tenderer must have successfully or substantially* completed any of the following during last 07 (seven) years, ending last day of month previous to the one in which tender is invited:

  • Three similar works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 30% of advertised value of the tender,

OR

  • Two similar works, each costing not less than the amount equal to 40% of advertised value of the tender,

OR

  • One similar work, each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of advertised value of the tender.

The similar nature of work is defined is “Any Railway Track Work” *To be read along with 15.8.

Notes:

  • Information as required as per various Forms/Annexures to tender documents should be submitted by the tenderers without fail strictly as per formats. Offers submitted without Mandatory documents shall be summarily rejected.
  • Tenderer should bear the fact in mind while quoting the rates that GST will be paid by Contractor as per prevailing rate as applicable. Documentary evidence of deposition of GST will be produced by the contractor for on account bill.
  • Information as required as per various Forms/Annexures to tender documents should be submitted by the tenderers without fail strictly as per formats. Offers submitted without Mandatory documents shall be summarily rejected.
  • Value of a completed work done by a Member in an earlier JV shall be reckoned only to the extent of the concerned member’s share in that JV for the purpose of satisfying his/her compliance to the above-mentioned technical eligibility criteria in the tender under consideration.
  • Entire work has to be completed in all respects as per contract agreement. Part completed work shall not be considered.
