Dr. Jaideep Gupta, Higher Administrative Grade officer of Indian Railways, has taken over as Additional General Manager (AGM) of Eastern Railway on 08 February 2022. He is an Officer of 1986 batch Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE).
- A devoted team man, who believes in team working and synergy, Dr. Gupta did his M.Tech and PhD in Artificial Intelligence Technology from IIT BHU with specialization in Electrical Machines and Drives.
- In over three decades of illustrious career, he has shouldered several important assignments in various zones of Indian Railways.
- Prior to taking over charge as Addl. General Manager, Eastern Railway, he was the Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE), Principal Chief Safety Officer (PCSO) of Eastern Railway.
- During his tenure as PCEE, Eastern Railway was awarded the coveted Electrical Engineering Shield by Railway Board.
- He has also served as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Sambalpur Division of East Coast Railway. During his tenure as DRM Sambalpur, his division was adjudged the best division of Indian Railways on basis of KPI (Key Performance Indicator). He is a recipient of the Minister of Railways Award for Leadership & Excellence in 2019.
- He has also worked as Addl. DRM Nagpur, Central Railway, Chief Electrical Loco Engineer, West Central Railway and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) during his long 33 years of railway service.
- He has undergone training in Advanced Strategic Management & Executive Leadership Programme at SDA Bocconi, Italy and a course in Advanced Management at INSEAD Singapore.
