Hon’ble Minister Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi inaugurates Foot Over Bridge (FoB) at Patel Nagar Railway Station

In a significant move aimed at enhancing passenger convenience, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi inaugurated a new Foot Over Bridge (FoB) at Patel Nagar Railway Station for the convenience of the passengers.

Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi inaugurated Foot Over Bridge (FoB) at Patel Nagar Railway Station.The inauguration ceremony also witnessed the presence of Shri Sukhvinder Singh Divisional Railway Manager, Delhi and Officers of Delhi Division o­n this occasion.

The foot over bridge for pedestrians has been constructed with additional facility of ramp for two wheelers (at the closed Level Crossing no. 4-C) in Patel Nagar station yard. The length of the pedestrian foot over bridge is 134m with width of 2.4m and length for two wheelers is 450m (Length of ramp is 280m) with width of 3.6 m.

This FOB spans across 8 railway tracks and comprises 06 spans. Due to the construction of FOB within the yard, signalling cables, RailTel, Delhi and Delhi Jal Board pipeline were relocated.

Speaking o­n this occasion, highlighting the strategic importance of the “Foot Over Bridge” Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture Smt. Meenakashi Lekhi said that the Foot Over Bridge will facilitate the movement of dense population of Prem Nagar side across the Railway tracks as they have to go across for basic needs like business, work, school, etc.

This inauguration marks a notable step forward in enhancing railway infrastructure and ensuring the ease of travel for passengers in the Patel Nagar area.
