Hyderabad Metro Update: Transit Oriented Development (ToD) initiative receives Green New Buildings Gold Rating by IGBC

Hyderabad Next – Business Park Tower 1, Raidurg, developed under the Transit Oriented Development (ToD) project of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (L&TMRHL) received IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) Green New Buildings Gold Rating.

  • Mr. C. Shekar Reddy, Chairman, IGBC Hyderabad Chapter presented the plaque and certificate to Mr. KVB Reddy, MD & CEO, L&TMRHL, during a formal plaque ceremony organised on 8th March, in presence of Mr. K S Venkatagiri, Executive Director, CII GBC, Mr. Sudhir Chiplunkar, COO, L&TMRHL and other senior officials from L&TMRHL and IGBC.
  • As part of the green concepts and techniques in the building sector, the recently commissioned, Hyderabad Next – Business Park Tower 1, Raidurg has followed best practices in developing a sustainable architecture and design with apt site selection and planning enabling water conservation and energy efficiency measures, while utilizing the right building materials and resources keeping innovative techniques in the focus, aiding best-in-class indoor environmental quality to enhance occupant health, happiness, and well-being.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. KVB Reddy, MD & CEO, L&TMRHL, said, “It is a proud moment to have the recently commissioned Hyderabad Next – Business Park Tower 1 at Raidurg certified with IGBC Green New Buildings Gold Rating. About L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited:

  • L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro. – L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Limited (“The Company”) to implement the Project on Design, Built, Finance Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) basis.
  • The Company signed the Concession Agreement with the then Government of Andhra Pradesh on September 4, 2010 and completed the financial closure for the Project on March 1, 2011 in a record period of six months.
