In a historic development, PM Modi has inaugurated India’s first underwater metro route in Kolkata. The underwater tunnel being a part of the Howrah Maidan-Esplanade section of Kolkata Metro’s East-West Corridor, has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 4,965 crore.
