IRCON invites tender for civil, electrical, mechanical and fire fighting with automatic sprinkler system works for Santragachi Station Building of South Eastern Railway

IRCON International Limited has invited an online e-Tender for providing, installation, testing & commissioning of firefighting systems with automatic sprinkler system including civil, electrical, mechanical and instrumentation work including construction of reservoir and pump house in total for proposed Santragachi Station Building of South Eastern Railway.

Scope of Works:

The scope of work includes supply, erection, testing, commissioning and demonstration of performance/acceptance test of works for Fire Fighting, Fire detection, Fire alarm system and all other related works for Fire System, consisting of all equipment, accessories and items, as mentioned in the attached Tender BOQ including construction of reservoir and pump house for the Station Development Project at Santragachi Station Building works to be taken up under the development of Santragachi station as mentioned in clause 1 of NIT shall be broadly, but not limited to the following:

  • The Tender Specification Complete including drawings and BOQ shall be referred to understand the scope and the references here under also in brief:
  • Fire Fighting System & Alarm System- The quantities are mentioned in the tender document.However, it may be noted that, increase or decrease in numbers may occur according to changes in requirement of S.E. Railway Authority and during execution at site.
  • Electrical Distribution System Networking – The quantities are mentioned in the tender document. However, it may be noted that, increase or decrease in numbers may occur according to changes in requirement of S. E. Railway Authority and during execution at site.
  • Coordination with Railway authorities and other Local bodies as may be required for execution of the work including obtaining NOC from the requisite statutory/Local bodies.
  • Complete installation and commissioning of each equipment to suit the project requirement. All earthing for each equipment. All cabling, laying of pipes, conduiting etc. for cabling/wiring for each equipment. All civil works necessary for erections.
  • All inserts, as required, Repairs and painting for repairing the damages.
  • Preparation of working drawing whenever required to be approved by the project consultant and As built drawing after completion as subsidiary to other items in the Bill of Quantities.
  • Obtaining Provisional NOC and Final NOC of WB F&ES or any govt nominated agencies by the bidder. The necessary Drawings and documents shall be prepared by the Contractor as per WBF&ES guidelines for obtaining the NOC’s by the Contractor immediately after issuance of work.
  • The bidder has to liaison with the concerned department for obtaining both provisional NOC and provisional NOC. The cost of expenses (if any) related to obtaining the NOC’s are in built in tender and no extra cost will be payable in these accounts.
  • However, the statutory fees & charges demanded by WB F&ES or any govt nominated agencies for obtaining of mandatory clearance/ NOC will be paid by IRCON/ South Eastern Railway.
  • The contractor will be required to carry out the work in a professional manner as per the technical specifications, design/drawings issued by IRCON/Consultant/ client and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
  • The scope mentioned above is only indicative and not exhaustive. The entire inputs/resources required for the construction of the above work as per specifications and drawings is included in the scope of the contractor.

Supply of Materials by Engineer:

Contractor shall make his own arrangements at his cost for all materials required for execution, completion and maintenance of all items of work included in his scope of work to the complete satisfaction of the Engineer.

Engineer shall not supply any materials nor shall assist for procurement of any materials required for execution, completion and maintenance of works except the materials mentioned in the Appendix to tender which shall be issued free of cost to the Contractor at the Engineer’s stores near the project site or at Contractor’s stores as per the discretion of the Engineer.

The Contractor shall bear the cost of loading at Engineer’s stores (if any), transporting to site (if any), unloading from trucks/ wagons/ containers/ tankers etc. and storing safely under cover, as required.
