Kolkata Metro GM Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy inspects Metro Stations of Green Line and Noapara Car shed

In a continued effort to provide better services to its commuters, Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway has inspected Metro Stations of Green Line and Noapara Car shed.

At inspection of Metro Station:

Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway inspected Esplanade and Howrah Metro stations of Green Line. He inspected all passenger amenities as these stations are almost ready to be commissioned.

He also inspected entry/exit points, platforms, Concourse Level, Ticket Vending Machines, Ticket Counters, Station Signages, and the cleanliness aspect of both the stations. During this inspection, GM was apprised of the passenger management system of the station during peak hours.

  • During this inspection, high officials of Metro Railway and Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Limited (KMRCL) accompanied him.
  • GM expressed his satisfaction seeing the overall arrangements of Esplanade and Howrah stations.

At Noapara Car shed:

During these two days of inspection, Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy then inspected Noapara Car shed. Before the Car shed inspection Shri Reddy took a trolley inspection from Noapara station to Noapara Car shed via Noapara ramp. He inspected the Automatic Car Washing Plant and yard at Noapara.

  • After the inspection he held a high-level meeting with the senior officers of Metro Railway. Senior officers of Metro Railway accompanied the General Manager during this inspection.
  • Shri Reddy expressed his satisfaction after the inspection and advised concerned officials to continue to work for further betterment of Metro services.

Conclusion:

This comprehensive inspection by the General Manager at metro stations and car sheds marks the commitment of Kolkata Metro services which they promise to provide to its passengers and people of the city. The continued inspection shows the dedication of the organisation towards hassle free and easy-going metro services for the commuters.
