The maiden trial run of Kavi Subhas – Hemanta Mukhopadhyay stretch of Kavi Subhas – Airport via Salt Lake, New Town Metro project (Orange line) has been conducted successfully.
More details:
- The non-ac trial rake ( Rake number- 8N 16/18) started from the terminal Kavi Subhas station and after covering 5.40 kms reached Hemanta Mukhopadhyay station.
- The trial rake was taken out from the Kavi Subhas Depot, which has been built for rake stabling and maintenance work. During this trial run, the rake travelled with a maximum speed of 25 km/hr.
- Shri Amit Ray , ED Rail Vikas Nigam Limited(RVNL), Shri Rajesh Prasad, Director of Operations/ RVNL, Shri Satyaki Nath , Principal Chief Operations Manager and other senior officials of Metro Railway were present during this trial run.
- Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Metro Railway has congratulated all the officers and staff of Team Metro and Team RVNL for this successful completion of maiden trial run.
