In order to make the experience of metro rides more convenient, safe and passenger-friendly, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation will be conducting a special drive to promote safe and effective use of escalators and lifts on the station premises 4th and 8th January, 2019. The objective of this drive is to familiarise the passengers with the Do’s and Don’ts of using Escalators and Lifts to ensure a safe and convenient user experience.
The Drive shall be conducted on two days i.e. 4th January,2019 and 8th January,2019 twice from 9 a.m. to 12:30p.m. and then again from 4 p.m. to 7:30p.m. at Charbagh and Transport Nagar Metro Stations. During the drive, the passengers would be given demonstrations on the right ways of stepping up and down the escalators and lifts, identification of Emergency buttons, understanding the function of different buttons inside the Lifts, etc.
Talking about the idea behind such drive, LMRC MD, Shri Kumar Keshav said, “I think many people are reluctant in using escalators out of fear or hesitation and that’s why we have decided to conduct such drives because escalators and lifts are for the passengers’ comfort and we want everyone to feel safe and confident whenever they think of Lucknow Metro.”
Lucknow Metro is nearing the commencement of commercial operations on the entire North-South Corridor from CCS Airport to Munshipulia and has successfully conducted the load-testing till Nishatganj.
