A Million plus commuters travelled within a week on Metro 2A and 7 since it was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.
More Details:
- Since the inauguration of Phase-2 by Hon’ble Prime Minister, more than -10 lakh commuters travelled by Metro Line -2 A & 7. Now both metro lines are fully operational and connected with Metro line 1, creating the first Metro network in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
- Also, because of its easy connectivity with the railway line through Metro 1, millions of Mumbaikars have benefited from it. As well as The ridership Metro Line 2A & 7 crossed the 1-crore passenger milestone.
- Since the first phase was commissioned on 2nd April 2022, Metro 2A and 7 lines have been successful in providing uninterrupted services to around more than 1 crore Mumbaikars now.
- Almost 1,00,03,270 commuters travelled to date. A total of 22 trains provide 245 metro services daily on Metro Line 2A and 7.
- 20k+ Mumbai 1 cards issued and seamless travel gets a boost. A total of 20,000 plus Mumbai 1 cards are issued till date.
- Mumbai 1 is the one common mobility card for all you need during travel. This card is getting more convenient for commuters as the Mumbai-1 card helps commuters to travel seamlessly. This card can be used in all metros in India & all city buses in Mumbai.
- They can buy Metro, BEST bus tickets etc. using this card. Also, you can do shopping too. People can get these cards on Metro ticket windows. Mumbai -1 card offers a 5-10% Discount on Every Trip, Monday to Saturday – 5 %, Sunday -10% & National Holidays- 10%.
75k+ users downloaded Mumbai 1 Application:
- Like Mumbai 1 Card, 75739 users (61742 Android & 13997 IOS) downloaded Mumbai1 mobile application on their devices. Commuters can generate QR codes for tickets for their estimated distance through this application.
Shri S.V.R. Srinivas IAS, Hon Metropolitan Commissioner, MMRDA said “Mumbai 1 card and application is the advanced step for seamless travel of Mumbaikars. Now the metro is not just a means of transport, it’s becoming a new lifeline. More than 1 million Mumbaikars travelled by Metro within a week after the dedication Ceremony by Hon. Prime Minister, as well as another milestone we have achieved in the form of crossing 1 cr. mark of passengers. People are now switching their mode of transport from private vehicles to eco-friendly Metro”.
