Scope of Supply:
Turnouts, scissors cross-overs & derailing switch (ballasted):
- The supplier shall be responsible for detailed design & drawings of turnouts, derailing switches & scissors x-over as per Clauses 3.1 to 3.8 of Technical Specifications of Turnouts, Scissors X-overs and Derailing Switches stated above including all fittings, fastenings, fixtures, various blocks, base plates/special base plates, brackets, stretcher bars (other than leading stretcher bar) & their connections, check rails, rail pads, intermediate pads, pads for providing 1 in 20 slope on PSC Sleeper, third rail fixing arrangements on PSC sleepers, washers, insulating bushes, bolts & nuts, switches, crossings etc. complete duly interfacing with designated signaling, third rail supply and installation contractor and rolling stock contractors.
- The supplier shall be responsible for developing, designing of Mono block PSC sleepers for Standard Gauge 1 in 7 turnouts, scissors cross-over and derailing switches as per technical specifications including submission of detailed drawings, testing and inspection plan, documents with all details etc. as per clause no. 2.1.(1.1 to 1.8) design & development and 3. (1 to 8) of Technical Specification. The payment for this item shall be made after the design & drawings have been approved by the purchaser.
- The supplier shall furnish 4 sets of drawings/plans of the assemblies and parts duly interfaced with the designated contractors and also the same in PDF.
- The supplier shall also furnish the details of standard components, fixtures & parts in a set of Turnout, Scissor Crossover and Derailing Switch.
- The supplier shall be responsible for preparation of single cross-over drawings wherever applicable and Method Statements for laying/installation of each type of turnouts/cross-over/scissors cross-over.
Ballasted Turn outs:
- The supplier shall be responsible for manufacturing & supply of switches (stock rail & tongue rail), CMS crossings with welded leg extensions, check rails, slide chairs, base plates, special base plates, brackets, all fittings & fastenings, fixtures., rail pads, intermediate pads, insulating bushes, washers, pads for providing 1 in 20 rail cant, all stretchers bars (except leading stretcher bar) with its fixtures, various blocks, bolts & nuts, second drive arrangement, any special fitting etc. complete as per the Technical Specifications and Purchaser’s approved drawings except the following.
- The supplier shall not be required to supply rails other than those required for welded leg extensions of CMS crossings & Switches.
- The supplier shall not be required to supply ERC MK III Clips, GFN Liners and all plate screws.
- All the fixtures of PSC Sleepers, which are embedded in the PSC Sleepers at the time of PSC sleepers casting such as SGCI Inserts and dowels etc. shall not be supplied by the supplier.
- Supply of MK III fastening for special plates for Turnouts & Scissors cross-overs for depot is in the scope of supply of present bid document.
- ERC, MK III clips for fastening for Scissors crossovers is not covered in present bid document, remaining all fitting for Scissors crossovers is covered in present scope of supply.
Ballastless Turn outs:
- The supplier shall be responsible for manufacturing & supply of switches (stock rail & tongue rail), CMS crossings with welded leg extensions, check rails, slide chairs, base plates, special base plates, brackets, all fittings, fixtures., rail pads, intermediate pads, elastic base plate pads, washers, all stretchers bars (except leading stretcher bar) with its fixtures, various blocks, bolts & nuts, second drive arrangement with its fittings for 1 in 9 turnout (lock on second drive if required as per signaling requirement will be provided by designated signaling contractor) & for scissors cross-over, any special fitting etc.
- Complete as per the Technical Specifications and Purchaser’s approved drawing, except the following:
- The supplier shall not be required to supply rails other than those required for welded leg extensions of CMS crossing & Switches.
- Fastening System for ballast less track shall be decided after award of work and supplier should design the components like slide chair, base plate etc., as per fastening decided by Metro.
- All the fastening systems for Turnouts & Scissors cross-overs will be in scope of supply. Fastening Systems for switches and crossing for Ballastless Turnouts and Scissor Cross-overs shall be in scope of supply which should comply with performance criteria issued by Ministry of Railways vide their letter No.2009/Proj/MAS/9/2 dated 21.05.2010 and approved by Ministry of Railways including corrigendum and correction slip issued by RDSO till date of closing of tender.
- Supply of fastening system for switches and crossing of Turnouts and Scissors cross- overs is in present bid document excluding lead portion.
- The Supplier shall be responsible for deployment of requisite track expatriate to guide and witness installation of at least 5% of each type of ballast less/ballasted turnouts, scissors cross over etc. or minimum one number of each type whichever is higher.
- Information regarding schedule date of installation of turnouts, scissors cross over etc. shall be provided by the Purchaser at least 15 days in advance to the Supplier.
