Leoni Cable Solutions India (LCSI), erstwhile a 100% subsidiary of Leoni AG, Germany, post divestiture by Leoni AG Group in 2022, is now repositioning itself as Elegar Kerpen Kabel India. LCSI has been in India since 2006 and offering specialized wires & cables in Oil & Gas, Refineries, Specialty Chemicals, Indian Railways and Renewable energy segments. This exciting journey of acquisition of LCSI from Leoni AG group in a record time of ~3 months and future plans to expand the business across the globe from recently served territory by the entity mainly in Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia, Middle East, Australia & UK.
The new brand name ELEGAR KERPEN which is inspired by the words Electric and Garden (Hub) together they create a brand name that is “ELEGAR”. KERPEN is a 100+ years world-renowned brand name in the oil & gas sector which Elegar inherited during acquisition for its oil & gas/ industrial project segment. Our team has an ambitious plan to enhance the product offerings in electric field while capitalizing on the legacy in technical superiority of Leoni AG Group. The plant set up by Leoni AG Group, in India with German Equipment, will help us in accomplishing our goal. The team was then trained on world class manufacturing practices, quality parameters and customer focus.
We are excited with this acquisition as it brings world class facility with technology and trained professional manpower to grow the business to 3 folds by 2026-27 and the synergies it will bring on procurement, sharing best practices, common professional advisors and customer focus between Elegar Kerpen & Ravicab Cables.
The proud team of Elegar Kerpen Kabel India has a rich legacy of the company’s association with some of the prestigious projects to name a few- Atal Tunnel, Reliance Jamnagar refinery, and various Shell Energy projects (Industrial Project business), Vande Bharat Express train, Pune Metro Rail (transport segment). Under its clean energy initiatives Elegar Kerpen has also supplied DC string cables to the Solar power generation projects to the tune of 10 GW. Elegar Kerpen has recently appointed Business Partners in UAE and in advanced talks to enhance its presence by appointing partners in other ME countries. Company has been serving customers in Europe as well as in Russia. Company has on site presence in Russia, Singapore, UAE, India, China and expanding the base in EU.

Ravicab Cables Private Limited is a specialized cable manufacturer with its operations based out of Bengaluru, India. It was established as “Ravicab India” in 1986 and later converted to a Private Limited company in 1996. It is an ISO 9001 – 2015 certified company engaging in manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of wires & cables for domestic, industrial, transport applications, and specialty markets. Ravicab is resourced with 2 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities spread over 1.2 lakh sq. ft. and a modern laboratory equipped to perform all necessary tests as per national and international standards.
