RITES initiates E-tender for Satna Railway Station Major Upgradation in Collaboration

In a strategic leap towards advancing railway infrastructure, RITES Limited, a distinguished Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has initiated an e-tender process for Selection of Joint Venture (JV) Partner for Major Upgradation of Satna Railway Station on EPC mode.

Introduction:

  • Recently, West Central Railway, Gati Shakti, Jabalpur has invited bids for “Major Upgradation of Satna Railway Station on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) (Tender No. CPM-GSU-JBP-EPC1-2023”. Estimated cost of this work as advertised by West Central Railway is Rs 2,55,12,13,012.00 including GST.
  • Accordingly, RITES Ltd. invites EOIs from eligible agencies for joining hands with RITES as JV partner for executing the above EPC project. Joint venture is not allowed in this EOI.

RITES Role:

RITES Ltd., a Government of India Enterprise was established in 1974, under the aegis of Indian Railways. RITES is incorporated in India as a Public Limited Company under the Companies Act, 1956 and is governed by a Board of Directors which includes persons of eminence from various sectors of engineering and management.

RITES has been in the field of Railway Services since inception. RITES is involved in feasibility, surveys, Detail Project Report, design engineering, bid process management, project management of new railway lines of Indian Railways, doubling, railway electrification, bridge construction etc. Services include Civil, Electrical and S&T works. Same services are being provided for railway sidings for our client NTPC, CONCOR, BPCL, IOCL, EIL CIL, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, RINL, Kamraj Port Trust, SJVNL etc.

  • RITES is capable of providing following services in EPC contracts:
    • Conformity Study before bidding
    • Design Engineering
    • Value Engineering
    • Bid Process Management
    • Procurement and inspection of P-way materials
    • Construction Management services through pool of experts of Survey, Design, Civil Construction, Track, S&T and Electrical Engineering
    • Coordination with Railway for approvals, clearance and safety inspection

RITES has a pool of experts with wide experience of Railway Projects. Total 1450 specialists of high professional standings spread over various disciplines of planning, engineering, architecture and management. The selected JV partner will be required to execute the project in coordination with RITES to deliver the required output.

Eligibility:

Projects where works contract are directly given to the Bidder by a Govt. Department; or by a Public listed company having average annual turnover of Rs 500 crore and above in last 3 financial years excluding the current financial year, listed on National Stock Exchange or Bombay Stock Exchange, registered at least 5 years back from the date of submission of Bid by the Bidder to the Authority, and

  • Projects where the Bidder have received payments for not less than 75% of estimated project cost of such project under the following categories:
    • Passenger terminals shall mean having a minimum passenger handling capacity of 5000 persons /day in railway stations, metro stations, airport terminals (with or without related airport infrastructure works), ports, integrated check posts and bus terminals; or

Social and Commercial infrastructure shall mean:

  • Commercial real estate project (such as education institution, hospital, hotel, convention centre, mall/shopping complex, sports complex, office complex) at a single site with a minimum built up area of 15,000 (Fifteen thousand) square metres, or
  • Residential real estate project/ Residential township at a single site with a minimum built up area of 30,000 (Thirty thousand) square metres.
