Scope of Works:
- Mobilisation of drilling rigs, other drilling tools and accessories including personnel for carrying out drilling work conducting SPT, collection of Undisturbed, disturbed soil samples.
- De-mobilization of drilling rigs, other drilling tools & accessories and personnel after completion of work.
- Setting up of drilling machines at each borehole location as per the location coordinates.
- Drilling of 150mm diameter boreholes in all kinds of soil including gravels and cobbles. All boreholes shall be drilled on land up to specified depth (tentative up to depth of maximum 50m) below the ground or as instructed by the site engineer/representative of RITES.
- Collection of 100mm dia. metre, 450mm long undisturbed samples from bore holes and sealing the tube with molten wax at every 3.0m alternate.
- Conducting standard penetration test (SPT) in soil and collection of disturbed soil samples at every 3.0m alternate.
- Exploratory drilling of Boreholes down to required depth, drilling of 150mm diameter boreholes in all type of soils except hard rock and large boulders (boulder core more than 30cm), including refilling, reinstating surface and disposing of surplus material including use of mechanical rigs with power operated winches as well as percussion / chiselling tool for advancing through occasional seams of hard strata to be employed where necessary in River bed area including standing/flowing water with all necessary arrangements except making of platform under water which shall be paid under relevant item of SOR.
- Drilling of NX size borehole (76mm dia.) in all types of hard rock and collection of rock core samples from boreholes and preserving in boxes.
- Conducting in-situ full size Plate Load Test (PLT) at selected location as per IS:1888 including making loading arrangements & casting of RCC/cast in-situ concrete footing as per codal provisions including excavation and refilling of trial pit.
- Preparation and submission of field bore logs & computerised logs in hard copy as well as in soft copy.
- Submission of all types of samples to RITES GT LAB at RITES BHAWAN Plot No 1 sector 29 Gurgaon Haryana
- Submission of report including field log/data, results, analysis and interpretation of data including preparation of Data/Report.
- All the activities at site shall be carried out as per relevant IS codes and as per instructions of RITES Representative at site.
Availability of Site:
The site for the work shall be made available in parts, as specified below: The site for the survey work shall be made available in parts. Approx 75-80% of site will be made available at the time of issue of LOA and remaining 20% of site will be made available parts However, if there is delay in handing over of site by the Railway, the contractor shall be entitled to claim a reasonable extension of contract period as per clause GCC and no other compensation or Claim for the delay shall be entertained and there should be any financial impact later on.

Similar Works:
Similar Works shall mean the work of Geotechnical Investigation comprising drilling in soil/rock/boulders, in-situ testing, plate load test etc. as specified in BOQ and submission of geotechnical data etc.
Assignment experience certificate for completed and Substantial completed (Non-consultancy) assignment issued by Govt. Organisations/Semi Govt. Organisations of Central or State Govt.; or by Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies of Central/State Govt. or their subsidiaries/by Public Ltd. Companies listed in Stock exchange in India or Aboard or subsidiaries of such companies shall only be accepted.
Substantial Completed (Non-Consultancy) assignment shall mean who’s at least 80% payment (excluding payment for adjustment of price variation (PVC),if any, and excluding GST) of the present value of assignment has been received.
For startups the value of Completed or Substantially completed (Non Consultancy) works in a) i), ii) & iii) can be reduced up to 20%
Similar Experience:
- One similar work of Minimum value of 80% of the Estimated Cost of work, or
- Two Similar Works each of Minimum value of 50% of the Estimated Cost of work, or
- Three similar works each of Minimum Value of 40% of the Estimated Cost of work
Similar Experience:
Completed or substantially (at least α payments received) completed similar works during last β years should be either of the following:
- Three similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 40 (forty) percent of the estimated cost; or
- Two similar completed works each costing not less than the amount equal to 50(fifty) percent of the estimated cost; or
- One similar completed work costing not less than the amount equal to 80(Eighty) percent of the estimated cost;
