RLDA enhances redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station with tender initiation for the construction of Multi Modal Transit Hub

In a step towards major development, Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has invited proposals through e-tendering mode for the construction of Multi Modal Transit Hub with all allied works on Paharganj Side in connection with redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station.

Brief about Tender Submission:

Name of the Work: Design, construction & commissioning of Multi Modal Transit Hub (MMTH-2) along with all Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEPF, HVAC & other allied works on Paharganj Side in connection with redevelopment of New Delhi Railway Station on Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) Basis.

Scope of Project:

Design, Construction & Commissioning of Multi Modal Transit Hub (MMTH-2) and Utility Building (Ground, 1st Floor, 2nd Floor and Roof with adequate circulating area around utility building and equipment lifting cutout and lifting beam with embedded hooks in concrete as per the requirements) with clear tentative inside dimensions of 20 m x 100 m for {capable of accommodating 10 Nos. of Dry Type 2500 KVA Transformers (11/0.433 kV) along with DISCOMs Meter Room, BMS Room, Supervisors Rooms with storage space and toilet at each floor, HT & LT Panels, 10 Nos. of 600 TR Capacity Chillers, 06 Nos. of 2000 kVA DG Sets with necessary scrubber for emission norms as per CPCB guidelines and oil tanks, Fire Tanks & Fire Pumps} along with all Architectural, Structural, Civil,Mechanical Electrical Plumbing and Fire System (MEPF), Heat Ventilation and Air Conditioning System (HVAC), necessary cable and utility service trenches, & other allied works at State Entry Road on Paharganj side of New Delhi Railway Station.

The work primarily includes but not limited to the following:

  • Architectural & Structural Design of the MMTH-2 & Utility Building.
  • Construction of the MMTH-2 & Utility Building as per the approved design & Schedule of Finishes.

Vision:

  • The aim of the project is to construct a State of Art, User Friendly, Energy Efficient & Divyangjan compliant Multi Modal Transit Hub (MMTH-2) on Paharganj side of the New Delhi Railway Station.
  • MMTH-2 towards Paharganj side of station shall be of Basement + Ground Floor (Stilt) + 5 Parking Floors (Stilt) +8 Office floors + One Service Floor +Top Floor for housing Officers Rest House.
  • Ground Floor Stilt plan includes city bus services halt area and floors above ground level up to fifth floor provides for car parking area, auto and taxis resting & holding areas. Eight floors above parking floors provide for Railway offices. Top Floor shall provide Officers Rest House.

Eligibility:

The Bidder shall have satisfactorily completed or substantially completed the Eligible Works as mentioned below during the last seven years ending on 31.12.2023.

  • Three Eligible Works each costing not less than 30% (Thirty percent) of Estimated Project Cost, or
  • Two Eligible Works each costing not less than 40% (Forty percent) of Estimated Project Cost, or
  • One Eligible Work costing not less than 60% (Sixty percent) of Estimated  Project Cost.

Conclusion:

Redevelopment of the Railway station will create a vibrant and interconnected urban centre, seamlessly integrating both sides of the city. Multimodal hub transportation will spur economic growth , implementing a modular concept of Amrit Bharat Station Redevelopment by RLDA for revamping New Delhi Railway Station.
