RVNL-URC JV emerges lowest bidder for design and construction of elevated viaducts and metro stations for Indore Metro Rail Project

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) and URC (JV) have emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for the “Part design and construction of elevated viaducts and Five (5) elevated metro stations for the Indore Metro Rail Project.”

  • M/s RVNLURC JV emerges as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for “Part Design and Construction of Elevated Viaduct, Five (5) Elevated Metro Rail Stations (viz. Shaheed Bagh, Khajrana Chauraha, Bengali Chauraha, Patrakar Colony & Palasia Chauraha) and Ramp between Chainages 31+755 to 34+898.061 & 3+669.547 to 5+862 for Indore Metro Rail Project.”
  • The estimated cost of project is Rs. 543,00,00,000/-
  • M/s RVNL has 51% while M/s URC has 49% share in this contract.
  • Time period by which the order is to be executed is: 1092 Days.

RVNL has also been ranked 1st amongst the Railway PSEs for the 4 times out of the last 5 years. The turnover of the company for the financial year 2019-20 has increased by 44.44%.

The authorised share capital of the company is Rs. 3000 crores with paid up share capital of Rs. 2085 crores. The company has been listed after its disinvestment of its stake of 12.16% of the company through IPO.

About Indore Metro Project:

  • Indore Metro Rail Project comprising a Ring Line of length 31.55 Km from Bengali Square – Vijay Nagar – Bhawarsala – Airport – Patasia – Bengali Square which will connect major public nodes and city cluster areas of Indore.
  • The length of the Ring Line is 31.55 km.
  • The Ring Line will be from Bengali Square – Vijay Nagar -Bhawarsala – Airport – Palasia – Bengali Square.
  • The Number of Stations on the Ring Line are 30.
  • The project will provide continuous availability of affordable, reliable, safe, secure and seamless transport systems in the urban agglomeration of the city, which will reduce the accidents, pollution, travel time, energy consumption, anti-social incidents as well as regulate urban expansion and land use for sustainable development.
  • The estimated cost of the project is Rs. 7500.80 crore and the project will be completed in four years.
