S.E. Railway registers 167.18 Million Tonnes of freight loading till January in the Financial Year 2022-23

South Eastern Railway has loaded a total 167.18 Million Tonnes of originating freight in the first ten months (April-January) of the current financial year (2022-23).

More Details:

  • South Eastern Railway has loaded a total 167.18 Million Tonnes of originating freight in the first ten months (April-January) of the current financial year (2022-23) registering a growth of 4.03% in comparison to the corresponding period of previous financial year.
  • During this period, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has also increased to Rs 14,949.45 crore as against Rs. 13,384.63 crore in the same period of the previous year. Therefore, the earnings from freight loading have enhanced by 11.69% for SER.
  • SER has also registered a remarkable growth in Coal loading in the first ten months i.e. April to January of the current financial year (2022-23).
  • During this period, SER has loaded 42.57 Million Tonnes of Coal, which is 24.69% more than the corresponding period of previous fiscal. Cement loading has also registered a growth of 20.78% with a loading of 13.08 Million tonnes during this period.
  • The main commodities of Freight loading during this period were Iron Ore, Coal, Pig Iron & Finished Steel, Cement, Petroleum Products etc.
