Shri K. S. Jain has assumed the charge as Additional General Manager of South Western Railway from the effective date of February 20th, 2024.
More Details:
Shri K. S. Jain is a graduate in mechanical engineering from the University of Roorkee, having completed his studies in 1987. He belongs to the 1988 batch of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME).
Beginning his career on January 9, 1991, Shri K.S. Jain commenced his journey with the Northern Railway, serving as Assistant Divisional Mechanical Engineer/C&W/Firozpur. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the mechanical department, demonstrating his expertise across various roles in Northern Railway, DMW, NER, RDSO, and ICF.
Previous Experience:
- His notable roles include serving as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Thiruvananthapuram Division) and Divisional Railway Manager (Alipurduar Division). His dedication and distinctive approach were evident when he joined South Central Railway as CWE, subsequently being appointed as PCME effective June 1, 2023.
- During his vast tenure, he has attended several trainings in India and abroad as well. I.e., LHB training in Germany & Switzerland during 2005, RDSO inspection in China two times, MDP training in Singapore & Malaysia and DRM training in Milan in Italy.
- Prior to assuming the responsibility of Additional General Manager at South Western Railway, Shri K.S. Jain held the esteemed position of Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer at South Central Railway. Throughout his career, he has consistently left an indelible mark wherever he has worked.
