On 20.01.20, General Manager NCR (North Central Railway) and NER (North Eastern Railway) Shri Vinay Kumar Tripathi hold a detailed meeting to review field level preparedness for execution of important work for 160 Kmph speed raising on New Delhi-Howrah and New Delhi-Mumbai trunk routes falling on NCR. He specifically reviewed the status of works related to OHE modification, augmentation in power supply arrangement etc.
- OHE and power supply augmentation works are the most critical component of 160 Kmph speed raising works and accounts for approx. 58 % of the total value of this work.
- In this meeting organized in DRM office Prayagraj, PCEE NCR Shri Satish Kothari, DRM Prayag Raj Shri Mohit Chandra, DRM AGRA Shri S K Srivastava and concerned officers from HQ and Prayagraj division were present.
- At the outset DRM Prayagraj welcomed GM Shri V K Tripathi and other officers in this meeting after which a detailed presentation covering field level planning for execution, resource deployment plan, assistance required from RDSO, RB etc. was presented by Sri DEE TRD Prayagraj.
- During the meeting plan related to integrated working by concerned departments for execution of work during traffic blocks was presented and discussed in detail.

- Reviewing the field level plan presented by division, GM Shri Tripathi remarked that our detailed plan for 160 Kmph work should properly account for availability of DFC route in Bhaupur-Khurja section.
- He said that it will help in accurate planning for traffic blocks, deployment of resources, no. of work sites and timeline for different critical activities.
- He also assured Prayagraj and Agra division that all requisite inputs and assistance from HQ in execution of this important work shall be provided.
- This is the second review meeting of 160 Kmph speed raising works at the level of General Manager in quick succession and many issues related to deployment of additional officers, supervisors, machineries etc. required for this work have been resolved.
- This will bring impetus to execution of this important work aimed towards faster and comfortable journey experience to our valued customers.
