HIGHLIGHTS & ANALYSIS

  • Last year, Indian Railways had the highest ever total Planned capex of Rs. 2,15,058 Crores with Rs. 7,500 Crores from internal resources, Rs. 1,00,258 Crores from extra budgetary resources and Rs. 1,07,100 Crores for capital expenditure allocation given in Indian Railways.

11:11: FM introduces PM Gati Shakti Master Plan PM, Gati shakti Master plan, National Master plan, will impulse the seven engines for economic transformation, seamless multi modal Connectivity and logistic efficiency and it will also include infrastructure developments

11:13: 400 new generation Vande Bharat trains will be developed and manufactured in the next 3 years

11:15: PM Gati shakti Master plan for expressway will be formulated by 2022-23 to facilitate faster movement of people and goods

11:17: 20,000 Crore will be mobilised to renovate financing and compliment the public resources

11:19: Efficient logistics services for small farmers

11:20: As a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat 2000 km of network will be indigenoused to use world class technology

11:27: 100 PM Gati Shakti Cargo Terminal for Multi Modal Logistic facilities will be developed during the next three years.

11:30: Innovation to faster implementation will be encouraged for building Metro systems of appropriate type at scale, Multi Modal connectivity between Mass Urban Transport and Railway Station will be facilitated on priority. Design of Metro System including civil structure will be reoriented and will be standardised for Indian Condition and needs.

11:45: Construction of 8 ropeway projects for 60 km to be awarded in 2022-23

11:48: Productivity-linked incentive schemes in 14 sectors have received an excellent response, with investment intentions worth Rs 30 lakh crore received.

11:51: Rs. 1,400 crore allocated for Ken Betwa Linking project

11:55: Solar power to get additional Rs. 19500 crore for PLI scheme for making high-efficiency solar PV modules.

11:56: Implementation of the Ken Betwa Linking project at an estimated cost of Rs 44,605 crore to be taken up with irrigation benefits to 9 lakh hectare farmland, drinking water to 62 lakh people, 103 MW hydropower and 27 MW solar power generation.

12:04: New concept announced – One Station, One Product, Idea behind the ‘one station, one product’ plan is to enhance the future opportunities for local businesses and supply chain ecosystem.

12:18: Multimodal connectivity between mass urban transport and railway stations to be facilitated on priority.

12:30: 100% electrification of Broad Gauge Routes by the year 2023. Also, indigenously developed automatic train protection system to be launched.
