Delhi Metro update: Tenders invited for supply of full height Platform Screen Doors at Dwarka Sector 25 station of extension of Airport Express Line

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC) has invited online open e-tenders for the work “Contract CS52R – Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Full Height Platform Screen Doors at Dwarka Sector 25 Station of Extension of Airport Express Line Delhi MRTS project of Phase-III.”

Scope of work:

General:

  • This Contract comprises the design, coordination, construction and testing, validation, manufacture, supply, transportation, delivery, installation, testing, performance verification and demonstration, commissioning, maintenance and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period of the complete PSD system of Dwarka Sector 25 (ICC) station of Airport Express Line (AEL).
  • Contractor to note that Baggage Handling Platform Edge Doors (PEDs) and Baggage Handling Area Local Control Panel (PEL) and any action/performance related to Baggage Handling Platform Edge Doors (PEDs) is not in the scope of works for Dwarka Sector 25 (ICC) station of Airport Express Line (AEL). Any reference given herewith this tender is for information only.
  • The Contractor shall review the architectural, structural and E&M drawings of the station and provide all input and information necessary for the development of CSDs and SEMs.
  • The contractor shall interface and liaise with other designated Contractors in accordance with the requirements given in this PS. The Contractor shall make all necessary provisions to avoid interference with the Designated Contractors.
  • The interface between on-board to Platform Screen Doors for synchronization of train doors and Platform Screen Doors opening and closing, shall be through Signalling system. For this, they shall interface with the Signalling contractor/Rolling Stock contractor.
  • Contractor shall draw power (415V, 3 phase) from two sources: UPS provided in S&T UPS room on suitable MCBs and Raw Power by E&M contractor which will be made available in PSD equipment room.
  • The contractor shall demonstrate compliance to Safety, Electromagnetic compatibility, reliability, availability, maintainability and other system assurance requirements.
  • It is a maintenance requirement that plant and equipment can be delivered via the platforms onto Works Trains and vice versa during non-traffic hour. To meet this objective, the PSD installation shall be designed such that removal and restoration of doors and fixed screens shall be accomplished during non-traffic hour without disruption to the operation of the railway operation in the following day.

Scope of supply:

The scope of supply shall include all necessary hardware/equipment, software, accessories, materials, documentation and facilities necessary to meet all requirements of the PSD system for the required stations including interfacing with Designated Contractors for safe operation. The proposed PSD system comprises of all equipment associated with PSD system including (but not limited to):

  • PSD Support Structures and Architectural Components.
  • Platform Screen Door (PSD).
  • Door Drives.
  • Manual Secondary Door (MSD).
  • Fixed Screens (FS)/ Fixed Panels (FP).
  • Emergency Escape Doors (EED).
  • Platform Screen Doors Central Interface Panel (PSC).
  • Platform Screen Doors Local Control Panel (PSL).
  • Platform Supervisor’s Booth Remote Alarm Terminal Box (PSA).
  • Door Control Unit (DCU).
  • Emergency Control Equipment.
  • Monitoring terminals as specified in this tender.
  • Indoor equipment including PSD Power Supply.
  • Outdoor equipment.
  • Interfacing equipment.
  • Outdoor, Indoor and Earthing cables.
  • Network elements.
  • All equipment/ items associated along with any interfaces required to ensure operation within the performance requirements.
  • Maintenance tools and test equipment.
  • Training and Training material.
  • All equipments necessary to carry out factory and on-site testing and commissioning
  • Spare parts along with related software licenses.
  • All software and hardware required for the PSD system, perpetual free licenses of all applications and Operating System software etc.
  • Any other supply incl. software & hardware required to provide a complete operational PSD system as per approved design.

The Contractor’s scope shall be inclusive of all associated accessories, including but not limited to:

  • Equipment cabinets, racks & cubicles.
  • Wiring materials.
  • Fixtures, brackets, poles and support for fixing of Contractor’s equipment.
  • Foundations and support structure for Contractor’s equipment as well as any other fixtures to meet SOD requirements.
  • Termination and distribution frames/boxes.
  • Connectors and installation materials.
  • Sealing of openings & cut-outs.
  • Power supply equipment/modules and distribution for Contractor’s equipment.
  • Earthing of Contractor’s equipment; Surge and transient protection.
  • Lighting arrangement inside all racks, cabinets, headerbox for proper visibility during maintenance.
  • Ventilation/Fan arrangement for self cooling of all racks, cabinet etc.
  • Any other item required to provide a complete operational PSD system as per approved design.
