MMRC invites bids for appointment of consultants for providing project management services for work at Mumbai Metro line-3

Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has invited Bids (through e-tendering process)  from eligible Bidder(s) for Appointment of consultants for providing project management consultancy, architectural and structural design services for the redevelopment of buildings for project affected persons (K3, G3 & K2 Buildings) balance work at Kalbadevi & Girgaon stations of Mumbai Metro line-3.

Scope of Work:

  • To prepare/recreate design for Architectural, Structural & MEP works and prepare working drawings, schedule of drawings etc. (for K3 & G3 Building) the balance work.
  • To get the Structural designs Proof Checked from VJTI (activity for K3 & G3 completed Final drawings to be issued) or any Institute nominated by MMRC and same will be put up for approval of MMRCL.
  • For the Commercial Rehab Building (K2) at Kalbadevi; prepare final design, specification, construction methodology, estimates, draft bid documents, and of and assist MMRC in finalizing/selection and recommend building works contractors.
  • To maintain all necessary records.
  • To advise MMRC to administer the Contract.
  • To supervise the work during construction & periodically inspect during Defect Liability Period etc.
  • Preparation/conversion of all drawings preferable into 3D visualization and BIM designs (Level of Detailing 250 – 300) Format including Material/maintenance information.
  • To carry out investigations and surveys, necessary geotechnical investigation wherever necessary (Necessary geotechnical investigation shall be carried out by consultant by inviting quotations & awarding work to lowest quoter, which shall be approved by MMRC. Payment of Geotechnical investigation shall be done separately which is not included in Consultants Fees).
  • Supervision and Monitoring of strengthening work (if necessary) of buildings adjacent to the plots under MMRCL development.
  • Consultant should make their office arrangement, till Contractor is in Place. Once, Contractor is deployed for the work, he will provide a site office to the Consultant.

Objectives:

  • To prepare building plans, working drawings and all required drawings, structural & MEP designs and drawings etc. of proposed rehab buildings at Kalbadevi (K3 & K2 blocks) & Girgaon (G3 block).
  • Inviting Bids, preparation of estimate and bid documents for Kalbadevi Commercial Rehab Building (K2).
  • To act as representative of MMRCL, supervise and monitor the construction with a view to ensuring quality of work and timely completion. 

Work Plan:

  • The consultant should propose and justify the main activities of the Assignment/job, their content and duration, phasing and interrelations, milestones (including interim approvals by the MMRCL), and delivery dates of the reports.
  • The proposed work plan should be consistent with the technical approach and methodology showing understanding and ability to translate them into a feasible working plan.
  • A list of the final documents, including reports and tables to be delivered as final output, should be included here. The consultant should also explain their understanding of the site, the challenges it possessed and the proposed solutions.
