Introduction:

The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited is a Joint venture enterprise of Government of India and Government of Karnataka, entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail project.

The Phase-1 of the project which is already under operation consists of 42.3 km with 40 stations. The East-West Corridor is for a length of 18.2 km and North-South Corridor is for a length of 24.1 Km. Both the corridors include an underground section of total length 8.80 Km and has seven stations including the interchange station at Majestic.

The Phase-2 of Bangalore Metro Rail Project consists of Four Extensions to the existing lines and Two New Lines with a total length of 72.095 km with 61 stations (49 Elevated and 12 Underground) of which 27.36 Km is under operation and balance is under construction.

The Phase-2A of Bangalore Metro Rail Project i.e. ORR line with a total length of 19.75 km with 13 Elevated stations and Phase-2B i.e. Airport line with a total length of 38.44 km with 17 Elevated stations is under construction.

Eligibility:

Work Experience:

Participation as a Prime Contractor (as Single entity or as a Joint Venture partner) or Subcontractor in at least One work of Similar nature that has been satisfactorily completed during last 07(seven) years ending as on date of tender submission, where the length of the Similar work is not less than 492.80 m.

Participation as a Prime Contractor as Single entity or as a Joint Venture partner) or Subcontractor in at least Two works of Similar nature that has been satisfactorily completed during last 07(seven) years ending as on date of tender submission, where the length of each Similar work not less than 308.00 m. 

Participation as a Prime Contractor as Single entity or as a Joint Venture partner) or Subcontractor in at least Three works of Similar nature that has been satisfactorily completed during last 07(seven) years ending as on date of tender submission, where the length of each Similar work not less than 246.40 m.

Notes:

Similar nature of work for this contract shall be the completed/substantially completed Viaduct portions of Metro projects/Rail/ Road flyover/Bridges and aqueducts made of Prestressed girders.

Works of Similar nature where value of physically completed portion is 80% or more of the original awarded contract value or revised contract value whichever is lower duly certified by the client will be treated as substantially completed works and will be considered for qualification of work experience criteria.

Client’s completion certificate clearly indicating nature, scope of work, awarded cost, actual completion cost, actual date of completion and length in respect of Similar nature of work shall be furnished by the tenderer in support of work experience criteria.

In case the “similar nature work” (s) is executed for a private client, Bill wise details of payment received and Proof of TDS (Form 26AS) deducted by clients for all payments received shall be submitted duly certified by CA.

In case the qualifying work(s) done by a JV/Consortium having different constituents (w.r.t. The constituents of the JV/Consortium participating in this tender), the qualifying work value/length shall be considered duly apportioning the proportionate value/length to different constituents based on their percentage participation in such JV/Consortium.

Such experience certificates from the clients should also contain the percentage participation of various constituents of the JV/Consortium. A copy of such JV agreement should also be submitted by the tenderer.

Work experience certificates of sub-contractors other than those engaged by Govt. Depts./PSUs or other Govt. Bodies shall not be considered.

In case the Similar nature works has been executed by the tenderer as a subcontractor to the main contractor engaged by Govt. Depts., PSUs or other Govt. bodies, client’s signed copy of agreement with the main contractor and proof of approval of the Client for engaging the tenderer as a sub-contractor shall also be submitted besides the completion certificates from the main contractor.

In addition, Bill wise details of payment received and Proof of TDS (Form 26AS) deducted by clients for all payments received shall be submitted duly certified by CA.
