Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has been witnessing a gradual increase in its passenger flow since January 2023. On 23rd June, 2023, a maximum of 2,81,503 passengers had travelled in Chennai Metro trains.

- In this, the maximum number of 23,745 passengers travelled at Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Metro, 14,935 passengers at Thirumangalam Metro, 14,938 passengers at Guindy Metro Stations.
