Hon’ble Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari and Shri Jagannath Sarkar flag off Ranaghat-Bangaon new EMU train from Ranaghat Station

Shri Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition, West Bengal Legislative Assembly & Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly and Shri Jagannath Sarkar, Hon’ble MP flagged off inaugural run of Ranaghat – Bangaon new EMU train at Ranaghat Station.

More Details:

  • Shri Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, Hon’ble MLA. Shri S. P. Singh, Divisional Railway Manager/Sealdah and other Senior Officers of the Division also graced the occasion.
  • The regular services of the new EMU local between Ranaghat & Bangaon will commence from 10.01.2023. The UP EMU local will leave Ranaghat at 22:10 hrs. to reach Bangaon at 22:53 hrs. while the Down EMU local will leave Bangaon at 22:05 hrs. to reach Ranaghat at 22:48 hrs.

  • The EMU train will stop at Copers, Naba Raynagar, Gagnapur, Majhergram, Akaipur, Gopalnagar & Satberia stations enroute.

In his speech, Shri Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition, West Bengal Legislative Assembly & Hon’ble MLA thanked Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Minister of Railways for extending continuous support of Central Government towards infrastructure development & commuter friendly initiatives in West Bengal and for introducing the new EMU. New train which will fulfil long cherished demand of local inhabitants, artisans, traders & students who will be immensely benefited from increased mobility.

Shri Jagannath Sarkar, Hon’ble MP said that the increased frequency will reduce the congestion o­n the route which will, in turn, enhance passenger convenience through better public transportation with enhanced speed. Shri Partha Sarathi Chatterjee, Hon’ble MLA also spoke o­n the occasion.
