RVNL wins major contract from South Eastern Railway for electric traction system upgrade

In a significant stride, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has secured a substantial work order from South Eastern Railway. Valued at Rs. 148.26 Crores, the order is dedicated to the upgrading of the electric traction system.

  • Rail Vikas Nigam Limited emerges as the Lowest Bidder (L1) from South Eastern Railway for the work of “Design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning for upgradation of electric traction system from 1 x 25 KV to 2 x 25 KV traction system for Kharagpur (Excl.) Bhadrak (Excl.) section of Kharagpur division of South Eastern Railway to meet 3000 MT loading Target.”
  • The contract amount on which the order has been received is: Rs. 148,26,89,066.54/-
  • The awarded contract completion period is: 18 Months
