GPT Infraprojects Limited, the flagship company of GPT Group recently secured an order for the construction of new Broad Gauge (BG) line from chainage 52500 to 83200 in Solapur-Osmanabad section of Solapur Division of Central Railway which valued approximately Rs. 487 Crores. This Contract is in Joint Venture with GPT’s share being 26%.
Background:
- The government has given approval to the Solapur-Osmanabad rail line via Tuljapur. The line will be constructed at a cost of approximately Rs. 1000 crore.
- This railway line will make it convenient for people from not only the region but from all over India to visit Tuljapur on pilgrimage.
