Shri Manoj Joshi, GM, Metro Railway Kolkata reviews progress of different o­n-going Metro projects

Shri Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Metro Railway Kolkata held a high level meeting with senior officers of Metro Railway at Metro Rail Bhavan o­n 04.01.2021. During this meeting, he took stock of the progress of the different o­n-going Metro projects and instructed the concerned officials to work towards completion of the projects.

  • Shri Joshi instructed the concerned departments to complete all passenger amenity related works. 
  • He also took stock of the condition of rolling stock and advised the concerned departments to carry o­n tunnel and viaduct inspection work  according to the schedule. 
  • Senior officers of Metro Railway were present in this meeting.

Recent Achievement:

Recently , the first trial run of Noapara – Dakshineswar extension stretch of North-South Metro has been conducted smoothly.

  • This trial run started from Noapara o­n 23.12.2020. Shri Manoj Joshi, General Manager, Metro Railway Kolkata was present during this trial run.
  • He inspected the entire stretch from Noapara to Dakshineswar via Baranagar from the Driving Motorman’s cab both in UP and DN direction.
  • After reaching Dakshineswar, Shri Joshi inspected the platforms, concourse, entry and exit gates, circulating area, lifts, escalators and other passenger amenities which will be provided at this station. 
  • Senior Officers of Metro Railway and RVNL were present in this trial run.
