Southern Railway to operate its 6th trip under Bharat Gaurav scheme Rs. 2.72 Crores variable haulage charges earned as revenue from 5 trips and back 6th Trip to be operated from Coimbatore to Sai Nagar Shirdi.

- With the objective of showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage and magnificent historical places to the people of India and the world, Indian Railways introduced the “Bharat Gaurav Trains” scheme.
- Bharat Gaurav scheme also aims to leverage the core strengths of the professionals of the tourism sector to run theme-based trains to tap the vast tourist potential of India. The first service of the theme-based Bharat Gaurav roundtrip train service from Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi was operated on 14.06.2022.
- 5 Round trip services of Bharat Gaurav trains have been operated from Southern Railway so far. Southern Railway has registered a fixed revenue of Rs.5.87 Crores per so far from the operators of Bharat Gaurav trains. In addition, haulage charges of Rs. 2.72 Crores (excluding GST) has accrued from the 5 trips operated so far.
- Now the 6th trip of Bharat Gaurav trains between Coimbatore North SaiNagar Shirdi and back will be operated by M/s M and C Property Development (P) Limited, a registered service provider. The details of the 6th trip are as follows.
- Train No. 06903 / 06904 Coimbatore North – SaiNagar Shirdi – Coimbatore North Bharat Gaurav trains (Round trip service)
- The service of Train No 06903 Coimbatore North – SaiNagar Shirdi Bharat Gaurav Train will commence at 20.00 hrs from Coimbatore North on 30th September, 2022 and reach Sai Nagar Shirdi at 08.00 hrs on 02nd October, 2022.
- In the return direction Train No.06904 SaiNagar Shirdi – Coimbatore North Bharat Gaurav Train will commence at 11.30 hrs from Sai Nagar Shirdi on 03rd October, 2022 and reach Coimbatore North at 15.00 hrs on 04th October 2022.
- Composition:AC First Class – 1 Coach, 2-tier AC – 3 coaches, 3-tier AC – 2 coaches, Sleeper – 5 coaches, Pantry Car – 1 coach, and Luggage-cum-Brake Van – 2 coaches.
