- A state of the art 6-Axis Robotic Welding Machine has been commissioned by Shri S. R. Ghosal, Additional General Manager & Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer of Eastern Railway at Bogie Manufacturing Workshop of Eastern Railway at Budge Budge.
- This 6-Axis Robotic Welding Machine is a unique machine and is only available at Bogie Manufacturing Factory, Budge Budge and nowhere else in Eastern Railway.
- This machine will increase the quality of welding in Bogie Frames and will enhance productivity of the Bogie Manufacturing Factory of Eastern Railway.
- Moreover, this machine has a special character for which simultaneously two side frames and two bolsters can be welded in this machine which saves a lot of manpower and time and also increases productivity.
- This machine is equipped with advanced safety sensors to ensure safety of man working on the machine. Machine is run through a remote control pendant to avoid direct involvement.
- These features will not only ensure safety of the workmen but also augment welding quality and throughput of the machine.
