Central Railway successfully commissions new signalling electronic interlocking system at Bhugaon Station

Central Railway has commissioned a new Signalling Electronic Interlocking (EI) system at Bhugaon Station in connection with the Wardha-Ballarshah 3rd line project at Bhugaon.

Central Railway has committed for continuous upgradation of systems to improve safety & mobility of trains, in order to this a new Signalling Electronic Interlocking (EI) system has been commissioned at Bhugaon Station in connection with the Wardha-Ballarshah 3rd line project at Bhugaon.

Two new additional loop lines of 750 metres length each commissioned at Bhugaon station.

Features of new infra works completed at Bhugaon station o­n 01/11/23:

  • Earthwork- 32500 Cum
  • 2 new loop lines of 750 mtr length each
  • 2 new stabling sidings of 70 mtr each
  • 8 new track turnouts

  • 2 new crossover switch
  • New signalling system routes provided- 63
  • New point machines- 24
  • New Track circuits- 46
  • New main signals -26
  • New Shunt signals -11

Electronic Interlocking of M/s Hitachi Rail is commissioned with the latest RDSO TAN and Latest cyber security TAN. Two set of Statcon IPS with 300AH battery for each set provided

BPAC (Block proving axle counter) provided for Dual detection in UP, DOWN & New 3rd lines to ensure train safety. The new system will ensure complete clearance of previous train from the section at next station before allowing another train from previous station

  • 100% standby fuse provided
  • Efftronics Data logger with 1024 digital contacts and 32 analog contacts provided
  • Fire alarm system provided at station
