
Dr. Seedri Appalaraju, Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries; Government of Andhra Pradesh, inaugurated the New Station Building of Palasa Railway Station on 5th May 2022.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Appalaraju said that, it is heartening that the Railway administration has given priority to the passenger’s need and a new station building is built at Palasa Railway Station. Further he also urged various other train and Passenger related issues to comply as per the norms at the Station.
Shri Rinkesh Roy, the Divisional Railway Manager, Khurda Road, speaking on the occasion said that Khurda Road Division is always committed to provide user friendly services to its passengers and he assured that the Division will further work towards constant upgradation of facilities at Palasa Railway Station.
- Palasa Railway station is one of the important Non-Sub Urban (NSG)-3 Category Railway Station of Khurda Road Division on Howrah-Chennai Main line. The Station is having stoppages of 70 pairs of Mail/Express/Passenger trains.
- The new station building at Palasa Railway station was built with an expenditure of approximately Rs.2.93 Crores. The passenger amenities include Retiring rooms, Dormitory rooms, Modern First class & Second class waiting halls, Reserved lounge, Service buildings and Refreshment room etc.
- Shri Ashok Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Infra), Khurda Road was present on the occasion along with Shri Amitesh Anand, Sr.Divisional Commercial Manager, Shri R.P.Yadav, Sr. Divisional Engineer (Co-ordination) and Shri Pankaj Chouhan, Sr. Divisional Engineer (South) Khurda Road.
