Patna Metro deployed a flood response team on alert to prevent waterlogging at all metro construction sites. Senior officials of DMRC monitoring and taking stock of the situation across all sites. Real time monitoring is being ensured at all sites.

- Patna Metro Rail Project has chalked out an elaborate plan to prevent waterlogging across all under-construction metro sites during heavy rains. Senior officials of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) are continuously inspecting and taking stock of the situation across all sites.
- A fully-equipped Flood Response Team has been formed after Director (works), DMRC, Shri Daljeet Singh had instructed the Metro officials to ensure all pre-monsoon preparatory measures to tackle any situation of waterlogging in and around the construction sites due to heavy and incessant rainfall in the city.
- Flood Response Team deployed by DMRC is on alert and real time monitoring is being ensured to respond accordingly in metro construction sites and waterlogging prone zones. The Metro officials and team are constantly visiting the area and taking stock of the situation.
- Despite the incessant rains in the last two days, no major incident of water logging has been reported, other than one or two minor reports of waterlogging adjacent to constructions sites barricades and service road with lack of proper drainage system which was promptly attended.
- The flood response team deployed are on high alert and monitoring the situation across all sites and any reports of waterlogging at metro sites and adjacent to it are being tackled promptly.
- It is to be noted that, high-capacity dewatering pumps have also been deployed at all metro sites specifically in the areas which are prone to waterlogging during normal to heavy rainfall. Apart from this, the response team is also ensuring proper illumination at barricades running along the sites for the ease of pedestrians.
- Every possible effort is being taken by Patna Metro Rail Project officials to ensure that normal life is not affected in and around the Metro constructions sites due to waterlogging in the event of heavy rains and the construction work continues without any hindrance.
